Re: Sky Live Day 3 - 14/01/10
Iv"e just been thinking about Timelines and possible scenarios on what happened to Madeleine:-
1. We know that Gerry was talking to Jez at about 9.10pm. Forget Jane Tanner"s sighting, it"s rubbish.
What if Gerry checked on 5a at say, 8.50pm, found Madeleine dead on the Floor through an accident, panicked,
cleared up the blood and put Madeleine"s body in the cupboard. Why did he say he spent a few minutes in the
toilet?
Oldfield admitted he couldn"t see Madeleine when he checked.
Kate checks at 10.pm and because Gerry hadn"t told her what he had found she screams abduction and so the story was born. While everyone was searching they borrow Murat"s car to move the body before the Police arrive, work out the timelines because as professional people they could all be guilty of neglect, but the rest
of the Tapas Group do not know that Madeleine is dead. Then when everyone is searching and the twins moved
to the Payne"s apartment Kate and Gerry springclean the Apartment and plan their strategy.

Kate mccann says having her friend fiona payne here has been a big support.

Re: Sky Live Day 3 - 14/01/10
I am surprised that Jane Tanner is not there, as she is the McC's 'star witness' to the abduction.
Also, there is no evidence whatsoever for their timeline on night of 3rd May. The only fact we do have is that Gerry saw Jez outside the complex and stopped to talk to him, but that does not prove anything. One asssumes Gerry was in that location because he had just checked on his children but it is not proof. It is not certain that Jane Tanner was on the street at the same time either, as Jez (who I am inclined to believe) says he did not see her. None of the other Tapas group's 'checks' can be proven either.
I think the Police are right in saying that they were not checking the children every 30 minutes, because there is no evidence either that they increased checks on 2nd May, even though Mrs Fenn heard crying for 75 mins on 1st May (another fact they cannot deny although they have tried to put their own spin on it).
Gerry still continues to call it a 'mistake'. 75 mins is no mistake, its mind blowingly neglectful.
Gerry says confidentally that without evidence that Madeleine is dead, no-one is allowed to say she is.
What about something called in law, 'The balance of probabilities'? The majority of people think Madeleine is now dead, even some supporters of the McCanns fear she is dead, albeit they think by the hands of an 'abductor'.

Its interesting that Dr Amaral spends all of last summer accusing Payne & McCann of the vilest of crimes, and yet, Payne takes no action. The McCann's are claiming that GA's thesis is incorrect, so it'll be interesting if the McCann's witnesses mention the accusations of paedophillia. Lets face it, you wouldnt want to pass up an opportunity to set the record stright in a court of law would you ?
They never once threatened my blog, now that is very odd. Maybe they are on very safe ground attacking those who accuse them of something they did not do? What I accuse them of is even worse!

What evidence is there to support the theory she is alive as the McCanns claim.

This seems to be their mantra..along with 'there's nothing new'!! The UK press must be enjoying printing Amaral's theory. I'm sure they are banned from revealing the contents of his book, but not from reporting what happens in a court room. Bit like what happened recently with the Trafigura case. The Carter Fs can't protect the McCanns at the moment..

Something to do with two witnesses that were due in court this week but were unable to attend.

Amaral says that if he loses this case he will appeal to the supreme court and the european court of human rights.
He's not going to go away. He's like a dog with a bone.

I think injunction will remain in place, but their credibility has been dealt a mortal blow by the fact that the media have been able to report the court proceedings..the victory ias Amaral's IMO.

I'm no sure about that. A delay until the 10th Feb has to be a nightmare scenario for the McCann's, the media are pretty much free to speculate and report proceedings to date until that time, and thats going to harm their PR offensive. A decision this week would be far easier to deal with.
Its also quite a dangerous precedent, if they can delay a month for witnesses, then they can delay to get clearance for the British police witnesses.

If the case restarts in February, I presume that Gerry will be able to go in the witness box after all.
