A Luis Frois is due to appear today. We don't know for certain that he is a telecommunications expert.

he didn't like what he heard the two days he was there that's for sure. perhaps it began to dawn on him that the injuction just, just, may get lifted. that could then get the media a little more interested in pursuing alternative theories other than his favoured one. and he can't be having that.

this book bothers them. big time.

Imagine your your interviewing 2 candidates for a job, equal experience and qualifications, but ones previously been accused on murdering his own child. Would that influence your decision ? I dont think there's many of us who wouldnt be swayed.

I was arrested years ago for a crime I didnt commit, unfortunatley I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thankfully the person who committed the crime was eventually caught, and pleaded guilty in court, but that arrest changed the perception of my employers and work collegues, and that change in perception never really went away.

Yes, once your reputation is lost, that's it. Iris Robinson, bankers and politicians will never recover from the damage done to their images by the revelations of recent months...

The McCanns' assertation that the book is hindering the search for Madeleine is worthy of closer consideration. How could a book stop people searching unless it was so convincing that people saw no further point in searching and reporting sightings? So are the McCanns actually saying that the book is that good? I suppose they are. But are they also saying that it is not true?
According to Dr. Amaral and his witnesses the book only reveals facts that are in the police files which are in the public domain. I have yet to read one argument put forward by the McCanns that proves the contrary. I don't know anything about libel laws or civil actions, I'm just an interested member of the public, but unless the McCanns are able to prove that the book contains anything which is untrue and not in the public domain, irrespective of how this court action pans out, they're on a hiding to nothing as far as I'm concerned, and I think mine is a pretty representative opinion.

Hare, I have been maliciously accuesed of doing certain things too. There is no foundation whatsoever to any of it, and it's all been disproved 100%, but still some people choose to believe it. There's nothing that you or I can do about that. But if it's happened that way for us, then it's the same (but 100 times over) for the McCanns.

This is what i don't get why be bothered about something which is available on the net in English for all to see ,it doe'snt make sense.All they've achieved up till now is for folks to have another look at them and most don't like what they see.All i can put it down to is control,Gerrys need to control everything.

I don't know if I could face another Christmas of tragic McCanns. And another May of them looking wistfully out to sea saying they feel close to Madeleine. Yuck yuck and yuck again.

I suppose many don't actually see what's on the net about this case, but a book, sitting on the UK booksellers' shelves or next to the supermarket cash desk is a very worrying thought for them. What would the twins think for a start!!

Yes in book form proberly more would see it but so many with com access,as for the twins ,considering how forward they are ,reading it would not be a problem followed by a debate about the validity of the theory.

They dont have to worry any more about whats on the net. Some of it was in the papers and on live stream from Sky. Isabel Duarte said something about they knew they were opening Pandora's Box when they brough this action. I really dont think they did. I really dont theink they were expecting Sky to have someone there reporting his translation or observation of what was being said.

IMO their reputation went when they left their 3 children alone, in an apartment, whilst they went out for a jolly with their friends. Subsequently some of what they have said has proved to an untrue. No amount of suing can restore their reputation, and why should it?

Lisboa, 14 Jan (Lusa) - O casal McCann vai interpor uma acção criminal contra Gonçalo Amaral por alegada violação do segredo de justiça na reprodução de factos da investigação no livro "Maddie - A Verdade da Mentira" antes do despacho de arquivamento.

Isabel Duarte, advogada do casal McCann, disse hoje que a acção de Kate e Gerry McCann será colocada "na próxima semana", após extracção de certidão do julgamento de proibição do livro do ex-inspector da Polícia Judiciária (PJ), a decorrer no Palácio da Justiça, em Lisboa.

A advogada lembrou que ficou provado na sessão de quarta-feira que o livro, que defende a tese de envolvimento do casal McCann no desaparecimento da filha, em 03 de Maio de 2007, na Praia da Luz, no Algarve, foi concluído a 24 de Julho de 2008 na editora Guerra e Paz, também visada neste processo, juntamente com a TVI.

Isabel Duarte advocated of the couple McCann, said today that the action of Kate and Gerry McCann will be put "next week", after extraction of certificate of the judgement of prohibition of the book of the ex-inspector of the Judicial Police officer (PJ), passing in the Courthouse, in Lisbon.

The advocated one remembered that it was proved in the Wednesday session that the book, which defends the theory of involvement of the couple McCann in the disappearance of the daughter, on the 03rd of May of 2007, in the Beach of Luz, in the Algarve, was ended to the 24th of July of 2008 in the publisher Guerra and Peace also aimed in this process, together with the TVI.

very good points. They seem to want to censor facts about the case, because the facts are in the book. They have read the police files, they are available for anyone interested enough to look on the net. I presume they would like to ban them too. Maybe the McCanns should write a book and give us their version of events. It would be 250 plus pages of umms and errs!

Speaking as she arrived for a third day of hearings at the main civil court in Lisbon, she acknowledged that this week had taken its toll.

"If I'm honest, our daughter's been taken and nothing's ever going to be as bad as that," she said.

"It's still been difficult, it's been emotive, because I know what's in the case files, I know what the conclusions are.

"So it's difficult to hear something that's incorrect and inaccurate.

On Sky news did you hear Sandra trying to ask Fiona if she has explained why she wouldn't attend the reconstruction??? Pity she didnt get an answer.

Perhaps they are still having Lunch, or in Chambers with the Judge trying to do a deal.

Ms Duarte also said she has made a an official complaint to the police about Mr Amaral, alleging that he has abused the legal aid system.
