I dont" know who saw the Documentary on Channel 4 a few weeks ago, the main evidence is the CCTV footage at the Hotel where Dewani is seen

Hi buildersbum,. In the Documentary , on the eve of their wedding Dewani and his future wife had a terrible row and her Sister said she had told her
she didn"t want to marry Dewani.I can"t think of Dewani"s Wife but her Family are not Wealthy but nice people. They said that when they went into the room where his wife was lying in state, Dewani tugged and tugged to take a ring from her finger and the Family was horrified.

Honeymoon husband 'wanted hitman'


..Businessman Shrien Dewani sought a hitman to murder his new wife on their honeymoon, a court in South Africa has heard.

Dewani, 31, denies any involvement in the death of Anni Dewani, who was shot dead in a taxi in Cape Town last November in an apparent car-jacking.

Wynberg Regional Court in Cape Town was told that Dewani, from Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, approached an airport shuttle service operator to "procure a hit man to have a woman killed".

He is said to have made the request almost immediately after arriving at the Cape Grace Hotel last November with his 28-year-old wife. The allegation formed part of an indictment handed to two other men accused of killing Mrs Dewani during the court hearing.

Xolile Wellington Mngeni and Mziwamadoda Lennox Qwabe have appeared at Wynberg Regional Court in Cape Town to face charges of murder, kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

The two men, who are also accused of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, will face trial at Western Cape High Court next year.

Mngeni, who has a malignant brain tumour, was helped into the dock by his co-accused before they were committed for trial. During their last hearing, from which Mngeni was absent, the court undertook to decide by Tuesday whether to abandon the charges against him because of his condition but there was no mention of his tumour in court.

Mrs Dewani was shot dead in an apparent car-jacking in the impoverished Gugulethu township on the outskirts of Cape Town last November. Her husband and cab driver Zola Tongo were ejected from the vehicle.

Dewani was later accused of ordering the attack. He was implicated by Tongo, 31, who claimed in a plea bargain that Dewani had offered him 15,000 rand (£1,400) for the killing.

Last month a judge ruled Dewani could be extradited to South Africa to stand trial. The cab driver, from Bothasig, has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and perverting the course of justice.

The extradition of Shrien Dewani, the man accused of arranging his
wife's murder on their honeymoon in South Africa, has been approved by
the Home Secretary.







Shrien Dewani denies organising the murder of his wife




A British judge ruled on August 10 that the British
businessman could be extradited, but the final decision rested with
Theresa May.


The 31-year-old millionaire care home owner is accused of conspiring
to kill his wife, Anni, in a fake car-jacking in November. He denies the
charges.


Anni, 28, from Sweden, was found dead in the back of an abandoned
taxi with a bullet wound to her neck after cab driver Zola Tongo drove
the newlyweds to a township.







Anni was killed near Cape Town during the couple's honeymoon





Dewani claims the vehicle was carjacked and that he and Mr Tongo were
forced out of the car unharmed before Mrs Dewani was driven away and
killed.


However, Mr Tongo later alleged that Dewani paid for his wife to be killed.


Dewani has fought extradition proceedings, arguing that he is
suffering from severe post-traumatic stress disorder and is too unwell
to be sent abroad for trial.


He has 14 days to appeal the extradition decision.

The appeal hearing is taking place today. Defence saying that Dewani is so unwell, he has been detained under the Mental Health act for a further six months.

I agree! His defence are saying that it hasn't been proved that there will be adequate care available for him in SA. He has two illnesses - depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He's on 15 minute suicide watch. Personally, I don't believe a word of it! If he'd gone back in the first place, he wouldn't be so 'stressed' now.

He's like a spoiled brat of a child who has a very bad tummy ache when caught doing something he shouldn't have done.

Why don"T they get three assessments from Experts to determine his state of mind, why should this murderer wrap the Doctor around his little finger. Better still, put him in a Padded Cell in a straightjacket so he can"t harm himself.

Interesting that the judge has said "Anyone would find extradition stressful but we wouldn't want a huge loophole in the extradition treaty."
