Your mobile phone provider could account for everything your phone has ever done, it wouldn't have a recording of the calls made (unless there was a 'tap' on the phone) but it would know what other numbers were called and all records of all text messages.

Phone companies can approach things from the opposite ends too - looking at things from a single mobile mast, what phone numbers have logged onto (pinged) that mast either as the phone itself travelled in that vicinity or made a text/call routed via that mast.

I've always worried that some money may have found its way to whoosh clunk any phone records at HQ.... but then again back-ups would have been made regularly of data so the police will find it.

Did the PJ long ago say they had phone info from Portugal but a judge ruled it inadmissable? The evidence is probably already there.

I was checking out the Joana Morais Blog from a post by KLM and it appears there is a difference of opinion between JDN who says there is to be an
investigation and CdeM who denies this. Anyway, the twitter news was on and this came up. If the petition was passed around the Madeleine Forums,
there would be thousands of signatures. Perhaps someone who is a Member of twitter can find out more.

Well I hope so and think so really. But a little part of me still thinks it's possible for them to say an abductor definitely and absolutely took Madeleine but we don't know who. I don't think this would be very satisfactory at all. I'd like the person or persons responsible brought to trial and made accountable.

Let's hope the Amaral Trial takes place soon and he wins. This will be a big blow to the Mccanns and a big boost to the review because the theory that Madeleine died in 5a will take root and make an investigation rather than a review meaningful.

Under the heading about signing the petition, not far from the end of the comments section, there is one from Joana which seems to suggest, if I read it correctly, that both the PJ and SY are in cahoots to make this review a mere PR exercise... Surely they wouldn't spend all that money, time and effort for that... why not ignore the whole thing instead?... so much cheaper. Somebody else read what Joana wrote please, and tell me I have got what she means wrong...

I think this is rubbish and Joana is been mislead, if they were in cohoots both Police and Governments, they would have had this case sorted years ago, and they certainly wouldn't be wasting £millons/Euros when its a done deal......as much as I trust Joana, I think she has been had here, either that or the PJ/SY want to stop a media circus from starting up.....
Time will tell.

Just been on Twitter and FB, I believe what Joana has said is true, and its going to be nothing but a whitewash.......

Ive decided that this case is never going to be re-opened and Maddy is never going to get justice, I never ever thought I would say this......

The McCanns have won! and Ive decided enough is enough, its not worth the stress it effects me so badly knowing its all about the lovely McCanns and Madeleine doesn't come in to it, I hope the McCanns suffer for the rest of their lives.........poor Madeleine I hope she is at rest!! Even if the Maddie case is never reopened, the McCanns have to live with the fact that through neglect, their own actions or inactions, their child disappeared off the face of the planet. They may believe that as Catholics confessing one's sins absolves of all guilt and responsibility. They may have said their Hail Marys and think that's it, they're absolved and all they need to do is keep out of prison. It's not. Whatever happens to this case, one day the McCanns will face a higher power. That's what they have to live with. No amount of Hail Marys and sitting there in the Confession box can ever change the fact that they left three small children alone and something happened to one of them. Wherever they go and whatever they do, the shadow of what they did will be hanging over them.

im not going anyqwhere steve im going to be around with this case for however long it takes becau ethe mcanns want people to give up on this case imo they want people to be silent well i wont be!!! no one not the mcanns or anyonne will tell me what to think or not to think

Whatever `official` line is recorded, it will make no difference to me and thousands of others - anyone with any nouse knows they are covering something up and this is how they will be remembered. Just like all the other cover-ups with their supposed `official enquiries` - it actually changes nothing in the public`s consciousness - e.g. Diana, David Kelly, Holly Grieg, Dunblane.

exactly look at our chamberlian case here in australia depite what our aus media and the pros say lindy is still considered by many as guilty 32 years later almost

I agree that no matter the outcome of this case, they will still pay for any wrongs they have done. Even sociopaths and pychopaths have to regain conciousness from time to time. Imagine having to live with such a damaged & tortured mind? Sounds like hell to me.
