Morning malena, Cameron had to get in on the act, just being interviewed saying how pleased he was that HIS Party had managed to do what others had spent years trying and his Manifesto would introduce new measures, such as fewer appeals , but the Interviewer said after the interview that this might not be possible.
Morning Panda.
It's strange how it might not be possible to change certain procedures such as; corrupt banking, MPs lobbying, Ministers expense claims, Ejecting aliens falsely claiming asylum back to their own country, Telephone hacking, Punishing bribery and corruption, but new laws inhibiting Freedom of speech, Freedom of information, Availability of legal aid to all and Freedom to peacefully march and protest always seem to be passed with no trouble whatsoever.
George Orwell must have been a time traveller back from the future...

It's all very sad and a reflection on bad Government the only real attempt "Occupy Wall Street" sank without trace, no wonder only 45% of Brits vote at General Elections.!!!

Perhaps it's time for the electorate to vote in a new party which will make some effort to represent the public's interest and not the foreign bankers, lobbyists and entrepreneurs who support and fund both the Tories and New Labour. UKIP or even the BNP cannot be as corruptly arrogant self serving as the likes of Cameron, Blair, Balls and Brown.

Well Panda, at least we've got rid of one hate merchant and that's got to be something to be thankful for.
If May carries on along these lines she could well become the next Tory leader. Although the Tories are about dead on their feet for ideas and policies for a mandate that will regain a clear hold on power for them, that is at least while Cameron is resident in No.10. They are very lucky IMO, that New Labour have only the residue of the deadbeats that created our Nation's problems and are led by Miliband who seems to be more like a frightened schoolboy than an adult male. He certainly has the look of someone who hasn't the faintest idea what is happening around him half the time.

Miliband is a lightweight and devoid of ideas, after Tony Blair I hope another Labour Government is not elected for 100 years. I think we will be lumbered with another hung Parliament which is no good for anybody.

At the risk of appearing racist, (because i'm not) the way our population is exploding with migrants, many of whom seem to be able to vote for whatever reason, (I've heard them talking in the polling station). We'll be accepting Sharia law and being called to prayer 5 times a day before not too very long.

Sharia Banks are very popular and I think are operating much more honestly than our Banks. Sharia Banks don't offer mortgages, instead young couples pay rent and when the rent they have paid equals the price of the house , they receive the Deeds. No fear of inflation and trying yo sell the house if you can't afford the Mortgage repayments.

Re: May take a few months to deport Abu Qatada
Abu Qatada will be able to preach while incarcerated at Jordanian prison
'He is treated just like any other guest, and has no restrictions imposed on him,' says official at Muwaqqar facility
Fernande van Tets Muwaqqar, Jordan
Wednesday 10 July 2013
King of Jordan removes last hurdle as he approves treaty designed to trigger removal of radical cleric Abu Qatada from UK
Family of radical preacher Abu Qatada wins injunction preventing protests outside their home
Abu Qatada reveals he will return to Jordan if its parliament agrees anti-torture treaty
May did get Qatada date wrong (but she'll deport him anyway)
'He is a good man': Abu Qatada’s friends in Jordan say he should be sent home,
Abu Qatada will be able to preach while incarcerated, prison officials said at the Muwaqqar facility where the firebrand preacher is currently being held.
Inmates are referred to as guests, “like we're talking about a hotel where we provide them with services,” say staff at Jordan's smartest prison, the Muwaqqar Rehabilitation and Correctional Center.
The sunlit facility is dotted by artwork made by inmates; green landscapes with rivers, as well as nationalistic artwork proclaiming “Jordan first” feature heavily. Flowerbeds bloom next to the concrete and punctured footballs hang in the barbed wire surrounding the buildings.
“It is better for him here than in Britain” said Abd al Hamid Gamil AlKafawin, one of the prison officials. “Here he is treated just like any other guest, and has no restrictions imposed on him.”
He is also allowed visits by his family three times a week; on Tuesday his mother and 8 of his siblings visited Abu Qatada, though they could only communicate by telephone from behind a glass screen.
They hope to have him home soon, and his lawyer Taiseer Thaib has requested bail. “I presented the bail on Monday but we have to wait until next week to hear if it is granted” said Thaib, who saw the sheikh this morning and said he was 'comfortable.'
Contrary to initial reports that he would be kept in solitary confinement,
Abu Qatada is sharing a cell with 15 inmates. His cell, furnished by 12 bunk beds lining the walls, can accommodate up to 26. Many of the 950 inmates, including his current cellmates, are doing time for the same crime Abu Qatada is charged with; crimes against state security.
Education and religious guidance feature heavily in the rehabilitation programme; sentences are mitigated for Koran study. The library, which houses 2000 books ranging on subjects from mathematics to Arabic literature also has a section focused on the study of Islam.
If sentenced, Abu Qatada would remain here and be able to teach inmates, say prison officials. Although the position of sheikh is currently filled, the Salafist preacher is bound to find a keen following.
Such a position would be paid; teaching is but one of several occupations available to inmates. Others include carpentry and agriculture; several greenhouses, stuffed with peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes growing in neat rows, are tended to by inmates.
For those in search of lighter entertainment, two televisions in each cell are switched on from 7 am to 1 at night. Up to 2 hours a day can be spent outside the cell complex, for example by being part of the most recent play on 'how to achieve happiness' or competing in basketball, volleyball or chess.
The Independent was only allowed access to Muwaqqar 1, there is another prison on the grounds for those in solitary confinement called Muwaqqar 2. Prison officials said conditions were similar in Muwaqqar 2, but there have been reports of torture from former inmates. Abu Qatada only returned to Jordan after parliament adopted a treaty which said evidence obtained by torture would be excluded at his trial.
In 2008, Human Rights Watch reported on a prison fire which killed three inmates following protests against alleged physical abuses.
The Adaleh Center for Human Rights, which the British government has appointed to oversee his wellbeing, visited the facility twice last year

Preacher Abu Qatada's Family Leaves The UK
The family of controversial Muslim cleric Abu Qatada have left the UK and are thought to have joined him in Jordan.
A Home Office Spokesman said: "Abu Qatada's wife and five children have now left the UK.
"The family has formally agreed to drop an outstanding application for Indefinite Leave to Remain."
The move comes after the Government finally deported the extremist to Jordan following a decade long legal battle that cost the taxpayer millions of pounds.
The family is said to have boarded a flight to Amman, where Qatada is awaiting trial on terrorism charges, on Thursday evening.
The spokesman refused to comment on whether the family would be allowed to return if they wanted to.
It is understood that the Home Secretary has a range of immigration and security powers that allows the UK to stop individuals travelling to the country.

Sadly our great and glorious leaders will not have learnt their lesson. As long as they can profit from immigration they'll still allow the detritus of Europe and the Sub Continent to pour into our country completely unchecked as to their appropriate health and skill status.AnnaEsse wrote:Like a few others, they came here, accepted benefits and lived in free accommodation, but hated us and told us so.
