I wonder what the good people of Brighton think about the new revelations and Mitchell's relationship with the McCanns.

I wonder what the fundraiser in chief and the tortoise are doing, bet theres going to be a special meeting, wonder if there ll be any more revelation moments,

Doug Skehan will be saying his prayers and thanking his guardian angel tonight that he upped and left the fund when he did..

This could very well be the end of the fund, and possibly lead to a class action suit asking for well-intended donations to be returned. If I were a retired solicitor, I might be inclined to take up such a case.

Think about this, which scenario makes the McCanns look worse?

1) Madeleine died in apt 5A whilst being neglected, given that Madeleine was dead, the McCanns decided to cover up her death in order to avoid prosecution

2) Madeleine was in fact abducted from apt 5A, and possibly still alive, yet the McCanns continued to lie about the checks and to try to make the evidence fit the Tanner sighting, even though Madeleine was still out there, their efforts to manipulate the investigation hindered the search so that now she is most likely dead

Neither scenario paints them in a good light. IMO, 1 is more forgiveable than 2, because their lies have no effect on the possible return of Madeleine. However, 2 in unconscionable, as it proves to all that the McCanns were more concerned about themselves and their reputations than bringing home their own daughter.

I wonder what Tony Bennett has to say about the revelations.

I've just watched. Kate McCann looks haggard and emotionally wiped out in a way she never looked when Maddie disappeared. In May 2007 and most of the time since then her face has been well made-up, hair perfect and no signs of stress.

And THAT is the most significant development this week ! Poor Clarrie not even a comment to say he is not going to dignify the articles with a comment. Bet he wishes he stayed on the Costa Concordia now.

Poor old Clarrie will be swimming against the tide to give an 'innocent and normal explanation' for this recent and damning exposure of his client's actions. Certainly his 'unable to give out information because of operational procedure' BS is long past its sell by date.....

Where did it say that the PJ had the efits too? I must have missed that. If the PJ had the efits, they probably knew that they were useless, just as the Tanner bundleman/eggman efit that the McCanns insisted on doing.

Still think that it is possible that these "efits" were done without any help of witnesses and based on vague descriptions from the Smith family witness statements. If true, SY will be the ones looking like keystone coppers.

If the freak was responsible for suppressing these E fits and hindering the search for a missing child then he is in serious shit.
Mitchell is in this up to his neck and will need to think about protecting his sorry arse now.

The e-fits were in the possession of both Portuguese police and Scotland Yard for some years before this month's publication.

Can't see how they had them as the mccanns P.I.s had them locked away in the files....and it was them and the mccanns who were the only ones that knew about it.

But let's pretend the PJ were given the e fits. So what ? It was not a live investigation, they could not have been given them before they shelved the case, so what did they do wrong ? Nothing as far as I can see.

No matter what spin they put on it, the parents had information and they did not release it to the public.

God knows Kate was able to tell us about her and Gerrys bed time difficulties, so they certainly kept us informed of things I would rather not know. Think I would have been more interested in the e fits.

So they can blame the PJ, blame the bad man who took Madeleine, blame anyone they want, but it is their fault. They know that too.
