Plus we won't know if they are sharing sardines for lunch.
I am not sure if it is the sardine season yet
I hate them but I think by the end of June it's time.
I love them but I know we cannot get them in the winter. Only Carapou (probably did not spell that correctly) I don't like them, not the same.
I'm not very Portuguese in that sense. I hate sardinhas and carapau. But I do love bacalhau so there's hope for me.
Yes there is Claudia. I don't like bacalhau though, always find it too salty. Give me a nice fat dourada or robalo Also like the polvo and the chocos. There is a fish restaurant, well large shed, in Tavira who BBQ all types of fish (not robalo obviously too expensive) They keep serving you as much fish as you can eat, keep asking if you want more.
You have fresh salad, potatoes, olives, bread, tomato bread. Your drinks (wine, beer or soft drinks) a basket of fruit on the table and coffee. The price is, wait for it, 11 euros each. Everyone sits on long benches, makes for a good atmosphere. If it is summer, you have to chalk your name on a blackboard and wait. In the winter you can usually find a space. it is spotlessly clean. The secret is in the turnover. I never went there until my son tried it. I always thought it was chicken they served. It is fantastic.
11 euros really is a bargain! Have to tell my dad. He would love that!!!

This article mentions the tents. Also some quotes from Duarte and this "In an unprecedented operation initiated by Scotland Yard, officers were concentrating their search on an overgrown area of scrubland as the McCanns were said to be bracing themselves for “significant news."

Re: Twitter
Can you imagine the british papers IF she is found in pdl....and the pros will have a field day
Remember kate mccann saying she feels closer to Madeleine in pdl.
--------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, UNTIL they'realise' that the 'fund' might have been set up AFTER she 'died' and the McCanns might of known that, but set up the 'fund' anyway.
As has been pointed out: "If her 'body' were found, it would only prove she is dead, and NOT by 'who' or 'when' she was 'killed'

You can get Gazella in Sainsburys but Casal Garcia is better.

Me too, Claudia. I always buy a few from that coffee shop to take home.
Re: Twitter
I'd be astonished that, if this was a genuine abduction, Madeleine's body would be found so close to the apartment she disappeared from. Surely the whole point of an abduction is to move a person away from where they have been picked up, not immediately bury them nearby ?

They are simply wonderful. I could eat them daily but sadly I don't.

I just buy them occasionally, when I have time to pop into the coffee shop and to impress visitors!

I watched a video on YouTube about how to make them, but haven't tried because it's very complicated!

There are several recipes but I agree it's difficult. I never tried and it's not really worth it as we can buy them for 70/80 cents a piece. There is a type of pastry very similar to the Pastéis de Nata, called Pastéis de Belém, which are very famous in Lisbon (in Belém, more specifically) and whose recipe is a secret.
