Re: Twitter
there was talk in the early days/years that someone had had a breakdown. I think it was hinted at as being O'Brien and that he had had some extended time off work when they got back to UK. I feel that if anyone would spill the beans it would be either him or Tanner.

He was the one who was glaringly, obviously missing from the photo of the Tapas on the steps of the Court after the Express payout. Tanner was there by herself, looking like a lonely old bag lady whilst the others were lapping up the spotlight.Keela wrote:there was talk in the early days/years that someone had had a breakdown. Two of his tweets:
The biggest CRIME in the #McCann case is NOT what happened to Madeleine. It's the brain washing of a NATION into believing what happened.
Not a question of whether #McCanns are complicit in disappearance of Madeleine. It's WHY Establishment insists on telling us they're not?

Not for one second do I believe Jane Tanner spilled the beans. This Operation Grange dig is purely for show, and a desperate attempt for them to appear kosher, having failed abysmally in their objective to gain access and control of the Portuguese investigation (imo).
Jog on Kate and Gerry, and take your dodgy team of deaf, dumb, and blind detectives at Operation Grange with you!

This is not an Operation Grange dig. This is a request for a search which has been granted by the Portuguese Courts for a thorough investigation of waste ground which is being undertaken jointly by both British and Portuguese. There are civilian experts helping and Welsh police and their dogs. How could anyone possibly believe that the Portuguese would allow their police personnel to be used as actors in a show? How does anyone believe that the enlisted experts are giving their experience and advice all for show. How does anyone believe the Welsh handlers and their dogs would be granted permission to be there all for show? I am sure the Welsh force have need of these dogs back home in Wales and would not be going along with something just for show when another situation may require their presence as well. That would be a bit like dialling 999 and wasting time on a complete hoax when someone else may be dying and in need of emergency attention.
This is a proper search which will probably not yield anything at all, but it is a proper search for genuine reasons.

Call it what you want, the British taxpayer is fronting the bill, as they have done all along in this farce. The Portuguese have given permission to one of many, many requests..... doesn't mean they agree with the direction.

Very well said pennylane.
The bottom line is this, the McCanns know where Madeleine is. Redwood and team are well aware that the McCanns know where Madeleine is, but for reasons best known to them, they're prepared to go along with this charade.
How much more misery are they going to inflict on the people of PDL, in their quest to find someone other than the McCanns to take the blame for Madeleine's disappearance. Apart from the misery that the McCanns brought into the lives of Goncalo Amaral and his family, the McCanns behaviour ruined the livelihoods of those who worked in and around PDL, in 2007. This situation, brought untold misery, to many families.
Redwood and his team are now doing the same. Apart from once again ruining the tourist trade in PDL, they're inflicting misery on the pet owners who buried their much loved pets on that site. No doubt bones will be found, but they will be bones of these pets. Are Redwood and his team going to rebury the remains of these pets?
I doubt it very much, they will be tossed to one side, just as Madeleine has been tossed to one side by the McCanns or someone known to them.
Once they've finished decimating this site and presuming nothing relating to Madeleine's disappearance is found, are they going to search every bit of land in Portugal?

Thanks almostgothic. The fact that the Portuguese have granted this permission and have not granted other permissions for other searches shows that the Portuguese have carefully considered all requests put before them. I don't think for one minute the Judge would allow this, particularly at this time of season, without deliberating the pros and cons beforehand. It is what the Court in Portugal has decided, not what the PJ think. Even if there was disagreement beforehand between the two forces, how does that make it a show? The Judge has considered and decided; unless we are saying the Judge wishes to be party to a show as well?

Spot on! So much destruction as you say, and after ripping the place asunder with as much pomp and circumstance as they can possibly achieve, they will all return home with nothing more than a deep suntan, and a load more empty rhetoric to feed the sheeple.

Re: Twitter
The search is being carried out efficiently. All of those people (and dogs) are not involved in any cover up and are searching to the best of their ability. The only thing that could be controlled is the area they are searching. They are doing everything right and let's hope they find what they are looking for.

All this ^^^ and some.
It is a stage managed operation for all to see,the camera shots give that away, the press being allowed close enough to get a nice shot of Redwoods smug mug.
Those taking part are being paid and most will be completely unaware of the powers above pulling the strings.
Who cares what it costs ?

Hi Lioned
You are correct.
In my opinion, if the search of this site, was a genuine effort to find Madeleine, there would have been a news blackout. Any journalists hanging around, would have been chased off. Also tents would have been erected over each part of the site, that was being searched.

A good paparazzi can take a good picture of someone without having to be close up. Ask the Royals or Simon Cowell.
As for those taking part being paid. Would you expect them to do it for nothing? The Police Officers are being paid regardless of whether they are working on this case or another case, they get paid monthly into their bank accounts until they retire, even if they are working on filing duties in a remote little police station in the middle of the nowhere.
The experts will no doubt prepare their invoices at the end of their contracts but to suggest they do not know what this case involves or the background to it is doing them a disservice.

Re: Twitter
As for not showing respect towards the remains of beloved pets, speaking as a dog owner myself (two wonderful old dogs of 11 and 10 years respectively) if I chose to bury my pets on waste ground rather than have them properly cremated or bury them in my own garden, then I'm afraid I would not be able to complain afterwards if they were dug up.
Also this ground was earmarked for building; a new hotel I think.
