Despite the opinion of the Telegraph the civil war is spreading to Lebanon. There are two main sects of Muslim, Sunni and Shi'ite. Based, even after hundreds of years, on which brother should have been in charge. There are a number of sub sects, including the Alawites. Assad is an Alawite. Most of the rebels are Sunni, so it is as usual becoming not so much a revolution against Assad, but the permanent faction fighting between followers of this peaceful and tolerant religion.

Now it seems to be spreading to Lebanon, at the moment it is fairly localised, but if it becomes widespread it will increase the number of innocents killed, maimed, and displaced. Not that these so called jihadists give a rap for that. I have no doubt that al Queda, and ISIL, and maybe other terror groups are keeping things going , to suit their own purpose.  Not difficult given the volatility of these people, and their understanding being limited to what comes out of a gun barrel. "Me got gun, you no got gun, me boss of you" what a mentality!! Couple that with their belief that to die fighting the enemy (everyone) is a guaranteed place in paradise and this eternal fighting becomes inevitable.

A very dangerous situation is developing, Not least because whatever his faults, and I have said before that Assad is by any western definition a monster, he was tolerant of Christians living in Syria. Not so with these alleged rebels, some of whom come from Britain, indeed were born here. . There are many reports of atrocities being committed against Christians, including crucifixion. Not that these get too much media coverage. After all we mustn't do anything to upset them.

I READ THAT IN LEBANON,THERE IS FIGHTING IN TRIPOLI(NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE ONE IN LIBYA) BETWEEN ALAWITES AND SUNNIS.

Quite correct badboy, and for the same reasons exactly. The Alawite community supports Assad, and the Sunni community doesn't. In my opinion, this represents an even more dangerous scenario. Lebanon has only comparatively recently emerged from a civil war. If this spreads they could be involved in another. It seems we are moving into a new phase of global terror

That will be a severe propaganda blow. I'm not sure how practically effective it will be, since in my experience over there, they get these jobs by virtue of family connections while the actual work is done by someone no one has ever heard of. Still it will not help the Assad cause at all.

How will the refugees ever be able to go back to Syria , their homes are demolished and the Country still rife with Terrorists , the World really has gone mad.

Yes I can quite well believe he has more bombings planned. It's all they know how to do. before the coming of Mohammed the paedophile, the Middle East gave us astronomy, Astrology Art, literature. you name it. they even put the zero into counting, that may not sound like much, but if you compare It to the Roman method it was a great advance. Since Mohammed invented Islam however, what, apart from destroying everything they touch have they done?

People were forced at point of death to convert to Islam, right up to the gates of Vienna, then Western technology took over, and they were no longer able to spread this evil known as Islam. Now though, using oil money, Immigration,, and above all, the easy acquisition of weaponry (none of it actually invented, or in any way contributed to by them) they are again spreading the joys of becoming a Muslim across the world.

Even some of their so called scholars admit that if it wasn't for the death penalty for converting away from Islam, the cult would have died out with Mohammed. Once again, all they know and understand. I was reading yesterday of a Sudanese woman. she says she has always been a Christian but they say she was born Muslim. She is in jail in Sudan at the moment, pregnant. Apparently she will stay in jail bringing up the baby until it is 2 years old, at which point it will be adopted out (to a good Muslim family, I have no doubt) while she is executed. They call that a religion?

The damage done to Syria is horrendous , the death toll massive, Refugee Camps in a few Countries with nowhere else to go .....how long will it take for the fighting to stop and some kind of normality to begin to repair the damage . You. have to feel sorry for the Refugees
