Gonçalo Amaral hadn't investigated. He pretended that he had investigated.

In his own book, on the cover that sums up his intentions, he writes "a criminal investigation is only committed to the pursuit of material fact. It shouldn't worry about political correctness."

Actually he did not seek the truth; neither he found material nor subjective fact. He raised a theory. And he interpreted the eventual evidences that he had found in the light of this theory, 'dropping' only parts of his research to close journalists.

I agree, whole heartedly with your post.

It's obvious AOL Customer Services, knew I shouldn't have received that warning and I'm presuming the same goes for the others who received them, because I never received anymore warnings and I presume the others didn't. I can't remember, because the incident happened a couple of years ago and AOL have closed all of their message boards. I thought AOL Customer Services, were rude when they didn't reply to my post.

That's beyond pathetic - not only are very few people actually incarcerated if found Guilty of Libel, but the grounds for adducing a Case of Libel do not include simply having a different opinion to that of the Plaintiff.

I am ashamed of this country at times. In the wake of the initial hype, I expected a lesser media copy to appear, a Deep Impact to McCann’s Armageddon, to which I could overhear in the streets “Aaw it’s like that Maddie thing all over again!” as if the benchmark was set in child abductions. While condescending it would still have heightened awareness, this didn’t happen, nothing happened, the continuing stream of abductions and missing children remained unreported and uncared about to society.

That’s really where my disdain lies, that this family have profited from the tragedy to such a large extent, continuing to do so 5 years on. I understand that parents will do all in their power to protect (in this case return) their children. Sadly Madeline was not the only child to be abducted that year or any subsequent year since. Where have their 5 year campaigns been? Where have their 5 years of support from respective governments been? Their book deals? Or is this level of support limited solely for the well-to-do and media-savvy families? Yes it would seem so, as they’re the first to do so and as a nation we can’t deal with too much tragedy, so we’ll allow one through and then fixate. This trend was once again highlighted with Jimmy Carr’s tax scandal. While certainly not the only one to do it and definitely not the largest offender, it’s easier to pinpoint him “coz e’s from the TV” ahead of say, major Tory contributor George Robinson, embroiled in the same scheme. We’re still waiting for Cameron’s moral condemnation of Mr Robinson.

So no, despite your last minute reminders, I shan’t be looking for Maddie in Estonia. Not till the Maddie stops being a commodity sold at the expense of others looking.

I think if I was the parent of a missing child I would feel very upset that I had not all the help from the government as has been afforded to one family! Surely we should be living in a world where everyone is equal and treated equally, but sadly it seems not.

Moreover, no medic is going to ever go to the doctor to request any mental health medications as under GMC Guidelines there is a duty to report any concerns about colleagues' fitness to practise.

This is why the GP's statement is irrelevant. Moreover, in 1996 Kate moved to New Zealand to work and her specialism was anesthesia!!
GP's are jack of all trades, master of none. Kate had a specialism... and we are all aware of their arrogance.

With regard to the disappointment faced by snowflake about this student not bothering to look,
The Mccann's modeled this behaviour by not bothering to look their selves. We all know why though.
