chrissie wrote:Panda, I did see on one of the news reports that there is a haberdashers in the High Street. They were making up the pink ribbons as fast as they could and people were in the shop picking up bag loads of them. I didn't see any money exchange hands. That's probably why they many of them looked the same.
Thanks chrissie, I would imagine a moneybox was on the Counter and the money would go towards the Fund, certainly the Haberdasher should have received credit . I saw in a Press report that money was coming into the Fund from Foreign Countries so there must be a website on the Internet with information on how to donate. See if you can find it , no good asking me I wouldn't have a clue. Iv'e got to be honest and say I'm not happy about the way April's disappearance has emulated the McCanns so much so soon.

Re: Mark Bridger Charged with Murder
There are three seperate threads on this topic, very confusing, anyway I found what I was looking for on matthew's thread when this case was first reported.......I remembered reading that the Van was supposed to be Cream or White.
"April was seen getting into a light coloured van that drove off." also the time quoted was 7.30pm , not the 7pm that April's Mother said she played until.
Bridger's car is dark Blue, would a child only be able to describe a light coloured "Van" at that time? It would have been quite dark.
I wish we knew what time the Police were first called.

Thanks NBY.....they have even set up a web for members of the Public to leave messages., one there from Australia. This bit interested me.
Minutes after Mark Bridger was spotted by searchers along a river bank, a Channel 4 News team filmed a man matching his description walking in the area.
The image, taken from Channel 4 News video footage (below), shows a man walking beside the river at approximately 2.30pm on Tuesday as police scoured the area for missing five-year-old April Jones.
Mark Bridger, 46, was arrested at 3.30pm later the same day.
The police said Mr Bridger was found on the outskirts of the Welsh town of Machynlleth near the Dyfi bridge. He was wearing a camouflage jacket and trousers with black overtrousers.
A man among a group of eight to 10 volunteers told Channel 4 News the person they saw earlier wore similar clothing and matched the police description.
It is understood Mr Bridger asked one of the searchers if they had seen or heard any news in the hunt for April.
Another local person, who knows Mark Bridger, and has seen the video, believes it is him. Police have examined the footage.
April Jones vanished from outside her home, in the Brynygog estate in Machynlleth, on the evening of Monday 1 October.

Your'e not gonna believe this, every part of the picture of the river came out, except the picture of the guy who was close to the photo frame , no way of identifying him really except maybe with a magnifying glass. You can see how swollen the river is tbough, after two days .

The man can be seen if you enlarge the image and then move to the right.

I magnified the picture 700%, but even going to the right, the margin of the photo got in the way. Thanks anyway.

I.m not with it, just posted a reply to NBY couldn't have pressed send because it is not there. Anyway, it said if I had a
brain I would be dangerous, I never saw "enlarge".
My Sister said once, a long time ago that I have a good business sense but no common sense. she"s right. !!!! I remember a while ago something was wrong with my Computer and the technical guy was asking me to try various things and then said "Have you cleared your cookies?......I said "Pardon"??? we both had a good laugh and I learned what a cookie was.

Don't worry Panda - it's not easy for the likes of you and me to get to grips with modern technology - we communicated with slates and chalk in our day!
However, you have mastered how to post actual news stories and photos and that's still beyond me.
Well done, that woman!

NBY and chrissie, For a long time I couldn't post pictures there just used to be a big space , one day TIEN pm.d me about my "quirky" posts and suggested I try something, it didn't work. A few weeks later I appealed on MM for advice on how to include the photos, no reply ........but all of a sudden, the pictures were showing!!!! Great , I thought, but depending on which Paper the Picture is from when I pess "send", the picture is fine but there is a lot of gobbledegook underneath so I have to go back and edit it. . when I was in Jersey recently I asked my son what causes it. He is a real Techie with computers and said depending on which paper the Article is from , I am not copying from an original article but a copy of an Article.....I'm still none the wiser. THere was an old T.V. in the Bedroom I was sleeping in and one day he gave me what looked like a mobile phone, showed me how to use it to watch a film, listen to music etc , all I had to do was plug it in to the back of the T.V......amazing.

Re: Mark Bridger Charged with Murder
Hi folks, not been about much as I am in the hospital and loads to catch up on now my lappy is with me.
The photo of the river with the chap walking. Down there is a footbridge that goes over the river and then to the road where the suspect was picked up on returning back to the main bridge and then the village. If it is the suspect why would he do that, unless he was checking on something? The man is striding out but doesn't look like a walker/hiker and he hasn't a stick, not always used but more so these days, and, he isn't wearing a haversack a must have,, so I don't think he is a chap out for a country walk. In fact in my opinion his stride is such as a man on a mission.

That's exactly it. I think he may have been checking that the body wasn't caught up anywhere. My guess is that it's well and truly in the sea - with all that rain. The police want to show the public they've done everything they can. So they carry on searching. Bits of clothing may have come off.
Doesn't this remind you of that photograph of Wright and McCann, using their mobiles in the sea amongst the rocks? Trying to find something...

I always feel that photo, sorry OT, they are ringing the number of a discarded mobile waiting to hear the sound of a ring from somewhere in the rocks.

Re: Mark Bridger Charged with Murder
There are photos, taken in the rocks down bellow in the water, were we can see searching, certainly he was not searching for his live daughter…
HC: Are you referring to Maddie’s father?
GA: To Gerald McCann. Maddie’s father.
HC: He was walking around here, in the rocks bellow?
GA: Yes, there are pictures of that.
HC: But in that case, he would have to have the firm belief that the girl was dead.
GA: I do not believe that he was looking for crabs nor searching for a live daughter.

Re: Mark Bridger Charged with Murder
April Jones murder suspect Mark Bridger linked to Spain
THE Olive Press is investigating Spanish links to the man charged with the abduction and murder of five-year-old April Jones.
Mark Bridger, 46, is said to have lived and worked in Spain for a number of years according to an Olive Press source.
It is thought he may have worked as a lifeguard on the Costa del Sol and also owned a Spanish registered L-reg Land Rover Discovery which has now been seized by police.
The blue Land Rover (below) is the same vehicle Bridger is said to have given the five-year-old a ride in two days before her abduction.
The Olive Press is asking for anyone who remembers this man or has information to contact the news desk at: newsdesk@theolivepress.es

Well it's nice to see The Olive Press doing its bit.
Before long they'll probably have him pinned down to a particular time and location.
And then ... and then ...
Look into my crystal ball ... can you see a new headline materialising?
Can you see what it is yet?
